The Smappee EV Dual is a dual charging station that brings two charging points together in one compact, refined unit. Whether you choose the wall-mounted Wall version or the free-standing Base pedestal, both deliver the same powerful technology in a considered design that fits naturally into any environment — from a private garage to a professional car park.

Dual charging, one solution

The EV Dual offers two independent charging points, each with its own 2.77" LCD display showing real-time charging status and pricing information. Each connector delivers up to 22 kW on a three-phase connection, or 7.4 kW on a single-phase connection — entirely independently of the other.

The EV Dual Wall mounts discreetly on the wall and is ideal for garages, covered car parks and spaces where a minimal footprint matters. The EV Dual Base stands as a free-standing pedestal and is perfectly suited to open car parks and public charging zones. Both versions are available with fixed cables (5 m, Type 2) or with sockets featuring an integrated shutter, and in your choice of RAL 9016 star white or RAL 7021 black grey.

Smart charging as standard

The EV Dual integrates seamlessly with Smappee's energy management platform. Dynamic load balancing automatically prevents overloading the electrical installation, while smart charging schedules and solar integration actively reduce energy costs. Real-time adaptation to grid conditions and energy tariffs maximises self-consumption and keeps peak demand to a minimum.

Access can be configured via RFID card, QR code or open use — with whitelisting for full control over authorised users. All sessions are recorded through the my.powerland platform, with complete session history and reporting.

Ready for what's next

The EV Dual supports OCPP 1.6 JSON and is prepared for OCPP 2.0.1. Built-in ISO 15118-2 support makes Plug & Charge available today, while preparation for ISO 15118-20 and V2G positions this charger for the next step in bidirectional charging.

Connectivity runs via Ethernet or 4G LTE-M — with 5 years of 4G connectivity included. The robust enclosure (IP54, IK10) provides reliable protection indoors and outdoors, complemented by integrated residual current protection per connector (6 mA DC RCM + 30 mA AC RCBO Type A).

Questions about
charging infrastructure

A single 50 kW charger can run on a standard three-phase business connection. For higher capacities or multiple chargers, a medium voltage connection or transformer is often required. With battery buffering and EMS control, Powerland can significantly reduce the grid load, so an expensive grid reinforcement can often be avoided or postponed in many cases. We always start with a power analysis and coordinate with the grid operator.

Not necessarily. Whether you need to upgrade your electricity connection depends on your current connection value (single-phase or three-phase), the desired charging capacity and how many other consumers are running simultaneously. In many cases an upgrade is not needed at all: with dynamic load balancing the charging station automatically adjusts the power based on available capacity, so your fuse box never gets overloaded. Combine charging infrastructure with battery storage or solar panels and the available capacity is used even smarter. Powerland first examines your electrical installation for every project - at home or at work - and only then advises whether an upgrade is necessary.

Yes. With linked charging pass and OCPP backend, consumption is automatically settled.
