The Smappee EV One is specially designed as a freestanding charger that feels at home anywhere thanks to its sleek rectangular shape and black color.

This charger is intended to be discreet and tastefully complement its surroundings. It is not dominant, but it is certainly not a wallflower either. The powerful intrinsic simplicity of the EV One means it always holds its own.

Smart charger for home and business

The EV One is available in a model for home and for business. The EV One Home features integrated Smappee Infinity technology. For the work environment, the EV One Business can be easily combined with the Smappee Infinity energy monitor. This allows you to add and link multiple Smappee charging stations while enjoying cost-saving smart features.

Smappee unique AI takes charging with dynamic and variable tariffs completely out of your hands. And with a simple setting in the Smappee app, you can choose the desired capacity limit, meaning you can easily avoid those excessive capacity tariffs.

You can also optimally charge your EV with solar energy using Smappee built-in solar energy prediction, which is not only good for the planet but also for your wallet.

Sustainable design

Sustainability has been considered at every step of the EV One development process. The Smappee EV One is not only sustainable in function but also in design. It is made from 100% multi-recyclable aluminum. Even the packaging is sustainable as only recycled cardboard is used.

The floor-mounted EV One has one connector, with a simple flap that blends completely into the surface of the charging station. Functional feedback is provided via the illuminated Smappee logo on the top, which simultaneously serves as a reader for the charging pass and as attractive ambient lighting.

Charging sessions can be started and stopped using a QR code, RFID, and smart charging schedules.

Questions about
charging infrastructure

Not the type of business, but the traffic volume, charging profile and grid capacity determine whether a DC fast charger is profitable. Therefore we do NOT distinguish businesses, but charging scenarios.

Charging scenario 1: High throughput & short stop time

Suitable for: public charging, retail, gas stations, highway exits, high-traffic zones
Characteristics:

  • many vehicles per day
  • short stops (15-30 min)
  • high occupancy rate
  • early or late need for battery buffering

Charging scenario 2: Medium throughput & mixed use

Suitable for: offices, showrooms, smaller depots, office zones
Characteristics:

  • mix of employees, visitors, occasional vehicles
  • vehicles sometimes stay on site for longer periods
  • lower grid impact

Charging scenario 3: Internal fleet with predictable charging moments

Suitable for: transport, logistics, bus companies, courier services, garbage trucks, forklifts
Characteristics:

  • vehicles return to fixed base
  • often charge in the evening or at night
  • very predictable charging profile
  • perfect match with battery storage

A single 50 kW charger can run on a standard three-phase business connection. For higher capacities or multiple chargers, a medium voltage connection or transformer is often required. With battery buffering and EMS control, Powerland can significantly reduce the grid load, so an expensive grid reinforcement can often be avoided or postponed in many cases. We always start with a power analysis and coordinate with the grid operator.

This depends on staff, visitors, fleet and peak hours. Powerland simulates the optimal mix of AC and DC.
