Authorized installer and certified service ^partner: what’s the difference?
A DC fast charger needs to be installed and commissioned correctly. Once the site is in use, another question matters: who will maintain the charger and respond when something goes wrong? For Alpitronic Hyperchargers, these tasks fall under two roles: Authorized Installer and Certified Service Partner. One company can hold both.
What does an Alpitronic Authorized Installer do?
The installer places the Hypercharger, connects it and commissions it. Before the charger goes into service, the installer checks the installation, settings and operation. Depending on the site, the project may also require electrical and civil works around the charger.
Commissioning gets the charger ready for use. On its own, it does not tell you who will handle maintenance or repairs later.
What does a Certified Service Partner do?
A service partner supports the charger during operation. This includes fault diagnosis, maintenance and repairs. Alpitronic trains technicians for service work and works with certified partners for on-site support.
Service training is distinct from the work involved in installing and commissioning a charger. That is why it is useful to check both roles when choosing a partner.
Can the installer also provide maintenance?
Yes, if the company also has the qualifications required for service. You do not necessarily need two companies. What matters is knowing who is responsible for commissioning, monitoring, maintenance and interventions, and what your service agreement covers.
Powerland combines both roles
Powerland installs Alpitronic Hyperchargers and is a Certified Service Partner for the brand. We monitor charging points through the my.powerland platform, investigate faults remotely where possible and arrange an on-site visit when needed.
This gives you one point of contact for installation and service. Planning a new charging site or reviewing support for existing chargers? Talk to our team about your project.
