The site plan places the six AC charge points in the parking area beneath the building. The Alpitronic HYC300 is positioned on the street side. The project drawings also show a 630 kVA high-voltage cabin.
The site combines 22 kW AC charge points with a 300 kW DC fast charger.
AC and DC: two ways to charge
With AC charging, the vehicle’s onboard charger converts alternating current into direct current for the battery. With DC charging, that conversion takes place in the charger, which supplies direct current to the battery.
The stated rating is not automatically the power every vehicle receives during a charging session. The vehicle and battery also affect charging speed.
