Frequently asked questions
Charging stations
You can, but it is slow and less safe. A charging station is the recommended solution.
Look at power, smart features (app, load balancing), warranty, compatibility with your car and local service support. Powerland advises you on brand and model based on your situation.
Not necessarily. We check your installation and advise what fits best.
This depends on the capacity of the charging station and your car.
That depends on the type of charging station. Some charging stations have a fixed charging cable. Others work with a socket where you use your car charging cable. Both systems are safe and suitable.
A smart charging station automatically adjusts the charging capacity to the consumption in your home.
This way your car charges:
- without overloading your main fuse
- preferably with solar energy if you have solar panels
- in cooperation with your home battery (if present)
You don't need to arrange anything yourself.
Yes, with a smart charging station this can be done automatically.
We preferably take this into account during the first installation. So it is best to mention this in advance. Then Powerland can provide the cabling and capacity so that you can easily place an extra charging point later, without major modifications.
Sometimes. That depends on your current connection, the chosen charging capacity and the consumption in your home. Powerland checks this in advance and safely adapts your fuse box or connection if necessary.
By linking your charging point to an energy management system (EMS). The EMS automatically controls the charging capacity based on what your solar panels are producing at that moment. This way you charge as much as possible with your own energy. Do you also have a home battery? Then you can even charge in the evening with solar energy stored during the day.
