Frequently asked questions

Real estate & parking

With individual access via RFID or charging pass and automatic settlement per user. Each resident pays for their own consumption. The syndic doesn't need to divide kWhs or manually follow up.

No. We make the infrastructure expandable: cable routes, boards and power are designed so that residents can easily connect later without breaking works.

This depends on the grid connection and building consumption. With load balancing and EMS, often many more charging points can be placed than expected, without having to reinforce immediately.

The user themselves. Via the management platform, each charging session is automatically registered and settled per resident or tenant.

Yes. The installation can be built modularly so that individual residents can join when they wish, without all parking spaces having to be equipped at the same time.

Often yes. Large roof surfaces provide a high yield. That energy can be used for common consumption (lifts, lighting, ventilation) and in combination with charging and battery storage.

Yes, especially when residents charge simultaneously in the evening. The battery helps absorb peaks and increases the self-consumption of the solar panels.

Yes. With EMS, the available solar energy is automatically used for the building and charging points, reducing the charging cost.

No. The management platform automates registration, reporting and settlement. Powerland can also be responsible for monitoring and support.

This is already taken into account in the design. New charging points can be easily added without having to modify the existing installation.

Not always. Often with smart control (EMS) and possibly battery storage the existing connection can be optimally used.

Yes. The order can be adjusted to your priorities and budget. Powerland makes a plan that remains expandable.

Yes. Powerland takes care of the study, installation, configuration of the management platform and can be responsible for maintenance and monitoring via an SLA.

Yes. Charging infrastructure can be perfectly installed in underground parkings, both in apartment buildings and in public or private parkings. However, account must be taken of power study, cable routes, ventilation and fire safety. With the right technical approach, an underground parking is not a limitation, but simply a different design situation.

No. Charging stations charge in a controlled manner and do not pose an increased fire risk in themselves. The design must be done correctly with load balancing, protections according to AREI and alignment with the existing fire safety provisions of the parking.

A vehicle fire can occur with any type of car, even without a charging station. When placing charging points, extra attention is paid to power control, protections and the specific situation of the parking. If necessary, consultation takes place with the fire prevention service.

This depends on your rate structure and rotation. With paid charging, correct zoning (short/long parking) and occupancy management, charging can become an additional revenue stream instead of a cost.

This depends on parking duration, rotation and location (city, retail, station, hospital area, ...). Powerland makes an estimate based on your occupancy rate and growth scenario.

No. We design the infrastructure scalable, so you can start with a limited number of charging points and easily expand when demand increases.

With EMS and load balancing, the available power is automatically distributed across all charging points. If necessary, battery storage can buffer peaks.

Not always. Often you can absorb a lot with smart control and battery storage. When reinforcement is indeed needed, we guide the process.

With an idle fee, time limits and clear signage, rotation remains high and charging spots remain available.

Visitors can charge via QR code, charging pass or payment solution. All charging sessions are automatically registered and reported.

No. The management platform automates monitoring, reporting and invoicing. Powerland can also be responsible for follow-up and support.

Yes. Canopies with solar panels produce energy where charging takes place. This lowers the energy cost and increases the yield of the site.

Often yes. A battery absorbs peaks when multiple vehicles charge simultaneously and helps limit or postpone grid reinforcement.

Charging facilities make your parking more attractive to EV drivers, who purposefully look for parkings where they can charge during their visit.

Powerland provides monitoring, remote diagnosis and rapid intervention. Via an SLA, your charging infrastructure remains reliably available.

Yes. You can set rates per charging point, zone or time window (e.g. fast charging more expensive than AC, peak hours more expensive than off-peak hours).

Yes. The installation is designed so that you can easily expand later without having to start over.

Yes, depending on the location. Parkings along busy axes, in city centers, near stations or shopping areas can evolve from parking with charging stations to a charging plaza where drivers purposefully come to charge. In that case, the charging infrastructure becomes a commercial asset and smart power control, battery storage and possibly solar carports are crucial to make this technically and economically feasible.
